Chris Martin’s Untitled appears to be exuding the vitality of the forces of nature. An amoebic form occupies almost the entire surface of the work. Black and white circular shapes suggest cells, or perhaps the vinyl records that Martin sometimes includes in his paintings. Martin often uses the outside world as an extension of his work, incorporating found objects and installing works on rooftops and street corners.
